Pt Augusta 2009  
Another hot Pt Augusta weekend greeted crews for the annual launch of the Pt Augusta Grand Prix Series.   With good numbers of crews competing and some close finishes, it made for a great weekend.

Open Women’s: Grange Geckos, South Port Seagals,  Glenelg

Under 19: Grange, Henley Colts, Semaphore

2009/2010 NAVY Series kicks off in SA
Over 30 crews contested the launch of the NAVY Series at South Port SA on Sunday 25 October.   Cold, windy and choppy conditions greeted the crews which saw some close racing in all divisions.

Local NAVY representative, LCDR Ken Holbert was provided with a full visual opportunity of how the NAVY Series is conducted not only in SA but throughout the nation.

The next three rounds of the SA NAVY Series will be held as part of SLSSA's first Open surf carnival program with round 2 to be also held at South Port.

Results from SA NAVY Series Round 1:

NAVY Open Men’s: South Port Snappers, North Haven, Glenelg.
NAVY Open Women’s: Grange Geckos, Port Noarlunga, Port Elliot.
NAVY Reserves: Aldinga, Port Elliot, Henley.
NAVY Under 23 Men’s: Grange Blue, Glenelg.
NAVY Under 23 Women’s: Glenelg.
NAVY Under 19: Grange A, Henley Colts, Henley U19 W.
   

        

2009-10 Boat Calendar   
2009-2010 looks like being another jam packed season with the Pt Augusta Grand Prix, Navy and Ocean Thunder Series, plus Brighton Short Course and of course State Titles.   The latest version of the 2009-2010 ASRL-SA calendar is current as at 13th October.   Download a copy

  Pt Augusta Grand Prix Series

 

Pt Augusta City Council have once again come on board to sponsor the Grand Prix Series.   The series kicks off in Pt Augusta on the 7th of November.    The ASRL-SA would like to thank Pt Augusta City Council for their ongoing support of Surf Boats in South Australia.

  2010 Navy Series

 

It looks like the 2010 Navy Series will be hotly contested with a number of crews competing in Open Men, Reserve Men, Open Women, U23 Men, U23 Women & U19s divisions, over a four race series.

  Ocean Thunder - Team Coopers

 

With support from Coopers Brewery, South Australia will have its first team in the Ocean Thunder series this season.   Trials will be held to decide the crew to represent "Team Coopers" at the four events to be held at Dee Why.
