The ASRL Hall of Fame committee has developed the following guidelines for nomination to the Hall of Fame. Read on-

NOMINATION PROCEDURE
1 The Committee may nominate candidates of its own motion.
2.The procedure for nomination will be that the candidate must be nominated in writing and endorsed by at least twenty (20) members of the ASRL from at least three different Surf Clubs.
3.Voting will be by (in confidence) ballot, which is similar to the method employed in some of the major sports in the USA such as football and baseball.
4.All nominations must be presented in a professional format, including full details relevant to the participation of the nominated candidate within the sport of Surf Boat Rowing.
5.There must be no direct contact nor lobbying of the Hall of Fame Committee Members, regarding the nominated candidate.
6. All nominations must be 'received by 31st of December, each year.

CRITERIA FOR NOMINATION.
7. Candidates may be involved as competitors or have otherwise made a significant contribution to the sport by reason of coaching, administration or construction of surf boats.
8.With respect to competitors continued success at high level will not assure induction.
9.Outstanding competitors must be seen to have made a long-standing contribution outside of the immediate environment of their own crew or club.
10.Both persons presently involved -in surf boat rowing and former participants in the sport or those associated with the sport should be eligible for nomination.
11.The sole determinant of the suitability for induction into, the Hall of Fame should be the opinion of the Committee that the nominee has made a significant impact on the sport of surf boat rowing in a national context.
